On the morning of January 13th, Li Lecheng, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, presided over the 18th Manufacturing Enterprise Symposium, deeply studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on new industrialization, implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Economic Work Conference, focusing on achieving a good start in the industrial economy during the 15th Five Year Plan period, and listening to the introduction and opinions of key industry enterprises.
 

At the meeting, 12 enterprise leaders from key industries such as steel, non-ferrous metals, new materials, automobiles, machinery, shipbuilding, light industry, medicine, and electronics, as well as officials from the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, made exchange speeches, introducing the production and operation of enterprises and industry development, and providing suggestions and recommendations on stabilizing economic operation, stimulating market potential, promoting technological breakthroughs, optimizing development environment, and strengthening assistance to enterprises. The relevant departments and units of the department shall respond to the problem demands and suggestions on site.
 

The meeting pointed out that China's industry is currently in a critical stage of transforming from large to strong and overcoming obstacles. With the deepening impact of external environmental changes and increasing internal risks and challenges, the pressure on the stable operation of the industrial economy has increased. At the same time, it should be noted that China's industrial economy has a solid foundation and strong resilience, with advantages such as a super large market, a complete industrial system, and abundant talent resources. The supporting conditions and basic trends for long-term improvement have not changed. We must strengthen our confidence, face problems directly, and effectively unify our thoughts and actions with the scientific judgment of the Party Central Committee on the situation. We must firmly anchor the primary task of promoting high-quality development and the key task of promoting new industrialization, further enhance our sense of responsibility and mission, promote the effective improvement of industrial economy in terms of quality and reasonable growth in terms of quantity, and play a good role in stabilizing the macroeconomic situation as a "ballast stone".
 

The meeting emphasized that 2026 is the starting year of the 15th Five Year Plan, and the responsibility of stabilizing industrial economic growth is significant and the mission is glorious. We must scientifically view and grasp the current situation facing the industrial economy, fully consolidate the stable and positive trend of the industrial economy, deeply implement the new round of work plan for stabilizing growth in the ten key industries, give full play to the driving role of key industries and regions, adhere to the principle of striving for excellence and winning by quality, enhance the supply capacity of high-quality industrial products, stimulate and boost new consumer demand, coordinate and make good use of the "dual" and "two new" policies, focus on stabilizing effective investment in the manufacturing industry, and stimulate the vitality of private investment.
