On December 17th, Wu Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, visited China Power Construction Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "PowerChina") and had in-depth talks with Wang Xiaojun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager of PowerChina, on areas such as new energy development, equipment manufacturing, and overseas business expansion. Zhu Zhaokai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Electric Group, attended the meeting.
China Power Construction Corporation is a global leader in clean and low-carbon energy, water resources, and environmental construction, while Shanghai Electric holds an international position in the manufacturing of new energy equipment such as nuclear power, transmission and distribution, offshore wind power, and photovoltaic energy storage. Both sides unanimously stated during the talks that they will further innovate cooperation models based on their previous cooperation history and achievements, strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as solar thermal new energy development, equipment sets, smart grids, and international market expansion, and work together to create more landmark projects, demonstration projects, and guiding achievements.
In addition, technological research and innovation cooperation will become a new highlight for both sides to deepen cooperation. Both sides unanimously agreed during the talks to explore joint technological breakthroughs in cutting-edge fields such as new power system construction, energy storage technology, and hydrogen energy, promote technological breakthroughs, provide more solutions for the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, and contribute more to building a new energy system and achieving the "dual carbon" goal.
