On December 17th, Wu Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric, visited China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and had in-depth exchanges with Shen Yanfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CNNC, on deepening strategic cooperation. Zhang Kai and Chen Junli, members of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager of China National Nuclear Corporation, and Zhu Zhaokai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Electric, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, both parties unanimously expressed that China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and Shanghai Electric have a solid foundation for cooperation. They look forward to using this meeting as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation, seize the commanding heights of energy technology, work together to tackle key technologies such as nuclear power equipment, enhance independent and controllable capabilities, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly create a new model of cooperation between central and local enterprises.

Both sides also agreed during the talks to increase cooperation in areas such as nuclear power equipment research and development and supply, fusion industry collaboration, new energy development, engineering construction, and international market development in the future, further consolidating the foundation of mutually beneficial cooperation and promoting the integration of central and local enterprises for high-quality development.

Du Jiguo, Deputy Chief Economist of China National Nuclear Corporation, Jin Xiaolong, Party Committee Member and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, as well as relevant department and unit heads from both sides, attended the meeting.
