1. Principles for selecting drag chains:

Internal height: Choose the thicker one of the built-in cables, oil pipes, air pipes, water pipes, etc. as the reference height, and add at least 10% of the height space as the internal height Hi of the drag chain. If overlapping, use the actual height after overlapping as the reference height.

Inner width: Choose thicker cables, oil pipes, air pipes, water pipes, etc., and use the sum of their outer diameters as a reference for the inner width of the drag chain, leaving at least 10% width space.

Bending radius: Choose the medium to large bending radius of built-in cables, oil pipes, air pipes, water pipes, etc. as the reference value, and leave more than 10% space.

2. Principles for placing cables, oil pipes, water pipes, and air pipes inside the drag chain:

There should be a remaining space of 15% to allow for the free movement of built-in cables, oil pipes, etc., without causing tension on the drag chain in the radial direction.

Conductors with large differences in diameter should be laid separately and distributed evenly in weight. If necessary, separators can be used to separate them.

When operating at high speeds or frequencies, try to keep the wires horizontally separated from each other and avoid overlapping them. It is recommended to use separators when there are many cables, gas pipes, oil pipes, etc.

3. Installation of cable drag chain

Using a suitable flat head screwdriver, insert vertically into the opening holes at both ends of the cover plate, open the cover plate, place cables, oil pipes, etc. into the drag chain according to the placement principles we provide, and then cover the cover plate. In addition, the fixed and movable ends of the wires should be fixed with tension devices.

5. Structure of drag chain

The appearance of the drag chain resembles a tank chain, consisting of numerous unit links that can rotate freely between them.

The same series of drag chains have the same inner height, outer height, and pitch, but the inner height and bending radius R of the drag chain can be selected differently.

The unit chain link is composed of left and right chain plates and upper and lower cover plates. Each section of the drag chain can be opened for easy installation and removal without the need for wiring. After opening the cover plate, cables, oil pipes, air pipes, etc. can be placed into the drag chain.

Additionally, separators can be provided to separate the space within the chain as needed.
