As a high-precision machining equipment, the inspection work before use of CNC tool grinding machines is crucial to ensure machining quality, equipment safety, and extend service life. The following are the detailed inspection steps and key points that need to be carried out before use:
1、 Mechanical inspection
1. Appearance and structure of machine tool
Stability of the machine body: Check whether the structural components such as the machine base, columns, and worktable are stable, without looseness or deformation.
Protective devices: Confirm that safety devices such as protective covers and doors are intact, without damage or missing, to ensure safe operation.
Lubrication system: Check if the lubricating oil level is within the normal range, if there are no leaks in the oil pipes, if the lubrication pump is working properly, and ensure that all moving parts are adequately lubricated.
2. Spindle system
Spindle rotation: Manually rotate the spindle and check for any jamming, abnormal noise or vibration to ensure smooth operation of the spindle.
Spindle taper hole: Clean the spindle taper hole, check the inner wall for scratches, rust, or impurities, and ensure the accuracy of tool installation.
Spindle cooling: If equipped with a spindle cooling system, check whether the coolant flow and temperature are normal to prevent the spindle from overheating.
3. Guide rail and transmission system
Guide rail cleaning: Clean the surface of the guide rail of oil stains, chips, and other impurities to ensure smooth movement of the guide rail.
Screw and nut: Check the wear of the screw, nut, and transmission gear, and there is no severe wear or excessive clearance.
Drive belt/chain: If using a belt or chain drive, check if the tension is appropriate and there is no risk of looseness or breakage.
4. Workbench and fixtures
Workbench flatness: Use a level to check the flatness of the workbench and ensure the accuracy of the machining reference surface.
Fixture fixation: Confirm that the fixture is securely installed without looseness or offset, with moderate clamping force to avoid workpiece displacement during processing.
Workpiece clamping: Check whether the workpiece clamping method is reasonable, avoid interfering with the tool path or causing machining vibration.
2、 Electrical system inspection of CNC tool grinder
1. Power supply and grounding
Power supply voltage: Use a multimeter to check whether the input power supply voltage meets the equipment requirements, in order to avoid voltage fluctuations and damage to electrical components.
Grounding protection: Confirm that the equipment grounding wire connection is reliable, the grounding resistance meets safety standards, and prevent electric shock accidents.
2. Control system
CNC system startup: After connecting the power, observe whether the CNC system starts normally without any alarms or error codes.
Parameter setting: Check whether the processing parameters (such as speed, feed rate, grinding amount, etc.) meet the process requirements to avoid processing abnormalities caused by parameter errors.
Program input: Confirm that the processing program has been correctly input and verified, with no syntax errors or path conflicts.
3. Sensors and Limits
Position sensor: Check whether the signals of each axis position sensor (such as grating ruler, encoder) are normal to ensure positioning accuracy.
Limit switch: Test whether the limit switches of each axis are sensitive to prevent damage to the equipment due to overtravel collision.
Emergency stop button: Press the emergency stop button to confirm that the device can immediately stop all movements, ensuring safe response in emergency situations.
3、 Hydraulic and Pneumatic System Inspection of CNC Tool Grinding Machine
1. Hydraulic system
Oil level and quality: Check whether the oil level in the hydraulic oil tank is within the normal range, the oil is clean and free of impurities, and avoid wear on the hydraulic pump.
Pressure regulation: Start the hydraulic pump, observe whether the pressure gauge reading is stable, and adjust the pressure to the required process value.
Pipeline leakage: Check that there is no leakage at the connection of the hydraulic pipeline, and that the hydraulic cylinder operates smoothly without crawling.
2. Pneumatic system
Pressure stability: Check if the air source pressure is stable to avoid pressure fluctuations affecting processing quality.
Pneumatic components: Check whether the pneumatic components such as cylinders and solenoid valves are sensitive and free of air leakage or jamming.
Lubrication and Drainage: Regularly drain the moisture from the pneumatic triple components to ensure that the pneumatic system is dry and clean.
4、 Safety and Protection Inspection
1. Safety devices
Protective door interlock: The equipment can only be started after confirming that the protective door is closed to prevent operators from coming into contact with moving parts.
Grating protection: If equipped with a grating safety device, test whether the equipment can stop immediately after being obstructed to ensure personnel safety.
Fire extinguishing device: Check whether the fire extinguisher or automatic fire extinguishing system is within its effective period, with normal pressure, and easy to use in emergency situations.
2. Personal protection
Operator protection: Operators are required to wear personal protective equipment such as protective goggles, earplugs, dust masks, etc. to avoid grinding dust and noise injuries.
Warning signs: Check if the warning signs around the equipment are clear, such as "high voltage danger" and "no touch", to remind operators to pay attention to safety.
5、 Inspection of CNC Tool Grinding Machine Environment and Auxiliary Equipment
1. Environmental conditions
Temperature and humidity: Ensure that the workshop temperature is within the allowable range of the equipment, humidity is ≤ 75%, and avoid electrical components from being damp or thermally deformed.
Cleanliness: Clean up debris around the equipment, keep the work area clean, and avoid chip or oil contamination of the equipment.
2. Auxiliary equipment
Cooling system: Check if the coolant flow and temperature are normal to avoid workpiece deformation or tool wear caused by overheating in the grinding area.
Chip removal device: Confirm that the chip removal machine is working properly, remove chips in a timely manner, and prevent accumulation from affecting processing or causing fires.
