The technical advantages of permanent magnet synchronous AC servo motors are rooted in their design of "permanent magnet synchronization". The motor rotor is made of high-performance permanent magnet materials (such as neodymium iron boron), which can establish a strong constant magnetic field without the need for electricity. The stator winding is fed with a three-phase sine wave current precisely controlled by a servo driver, forming a rotating magnetic field. Through the attraction and repulsion between the magnetic poles, the rotor is driven to rotate synchronously.

1. Excellent dynamic response and ultra-high control accuracy
The small inertia of the rotor and the rapid establishment of the magnetic field enable it to have high acceleration and deceleration. Paired with high-performance encoders (such as multi turn absolute value encoders), it can achieve millisecond level fast response and precise position, speed, and torque control, with positioning accuracy up to arcseconds, meeting the demanding requirements of high-speed and high-precision operations.
2. High power density and good efficiency
Permanent magnets provide excitation, avoiding copper losses caused by asynchronous motor excitation current, thus maintaining high efficiency (usually>90%) over a wide speed range, especially under low-speed and light load conditions. The compact structure achieves small volume and high torque output, which is conducive to the miniaturization and lightweight design of the equipment.
3. Excellent torque characteristics and strong overload capacity
At low speeds, it can output 150% -300% of the rated torque as overload torque, ensuring that the equipment has strong power when starting or overcoming momentary large resistance. Small torque ripple, smooth operation, can significantly improve the quality of the machined surface.
4. Intelligence and integration
As the execution unit of the servo system, it forms a closed-loop control with a dedicated servo driver. Supporting multiple advanced functions such as gain adjustment, vibration suppression, fully closed-loop control, etc., seamlessly integrated with the upper computer through a bus (such as EtherCAT), it is an ideal choice for achieving intelligent manufacturing.
