Asynchronous spindle motor for communication - the stable cornerstone of heavy-duty cutting

In high-power material removal processes such as milling, turning, and grinding in CNC machine tools, the spindle system needs to provide continuous, stable, and powerful cutting power.Asynchronous spindle motor for communication(commonly known as variable frequency asynchronous motor) has become a reliable and economical power cornerstone in heavy-duty cutting applications due to its durability, simple structure, easy maintenance, and constant power characteristics in high-speed areas.
The working principle of the motor is based on electromagnetic induction. The stator winding is fed with three-phase AC power to generate a rotating magnetic field, while the rotor winding (usually a squirrel cage structure) generates induced current by cutting magnetic induction lines, which in turn generates driving torque. The rotor speed is always slightly lower than the synchronous speed, and there is a "slip rate", which is a necessary condition for its torque generation.

The rotor is a simple squirrel cage structure that does not require permanent magnets or electric brushes. The structure is exceptionally sturdy and can withstand harsh cutting environments such as vibration, dust, and high temperatures. 2. Wide constant power range, suitable for heavy cutting
Above the fundamental frequency (such as 50Hz/60Hz), constant power weak magnetic speed regulation can be achieved through a frequency converter, providing a wide range of constant power operation. This means that during high-speed machining, although the output torque decreases, the power remains constant, ensuring the efficiency of high-speed cutting and matching the working requirements of the machine tool spindle.
3. Easy maintenance and high cost-effectiveness
Due to its simple structure and mature standardized asynchronous motor technology, the manufacturing and maintenance costs are much lower than those of permanent magnet synchronous servo spindle motors of the same power. Daily maintenance usually only requires attention to the bearing condition and cooling system, which is convenient to maintain and has a low overall cost of ownership.
4. Stable power and high reliability
Smooth operation, especially above the rated speed point, with good control of vibration and noise. There is no need to worry about the demagnetization risk of permanent magnets at high temperatures. They have high reliability under long-term heavy load cutting and are an ideal choice for heavy-duty machine tools and rough machining processes.
